Meadowbrook First Church of God - “On Mission” @ Cornerstone’s Transitional House |
|
|
It is now a proven fact that the members of Meadowbrook First Church of
God mean what they say when they announce they are “helping connect
their community to Christ”. While many churches are rolling up their
calendars and preparing to move indoors for the changing fall weather;
men, women, boys and girls from this body of believers joined forces to
put a new roof on Cornerstone’s two-bedroom transitional house. When Pastor Jonathan Absher prays, he also listens! Shortly after a prayer meeting with Cornerstone, Pastor Jon lead his missions minded congregation to prayerfully consider a call of God to put their hands to the task. The Father had clearly given Pastor Jon the word that this was a real opportunity for His children to walk-the-walk. With the rain we’ve had this year, no date, especially one in October, is generally thought of as being the best time for roofing but God Almighty gave these warriors all the warmth and Son light they needed. Project Site Coordinator Ron Robinson and his equally impressive assistant Tammy Biesk were clearly God’s called. Along with the work, you could hear them mentoring, encouraging, teaching and equipping their missions team. Cornerstone is already praying for the next opportunity to work with these brothers and sister. But not just for the work of building the physical, but to join forces with an awesome group of men & women who are seeking to find their Paul and their Timothy. Meadowbrook First Church of God Website. Cornerstone Transitional Housing is a perfect place to rebuild the family on the Chief Cornerstone. Families in the middle of a divorce; looking to reconcile, or maybe a young unwed mother still in school; Transitional Housing is the resource our Lord Jesus has provided to insure the family has an opportunity to build on a solid ”Rock” foundation.
